Description

**NOTE: Due to high demand, this event has increased its attendee capacity. Please contact us if you are unable to register.**

Pain and addiction are common conditions seen in primary care practices.

New, clinically actionable evidence on the approach to pain and addiction has been published in the last several years. This content is currently being taught to medical students and residents across the state (see www.azdhs.gov/curriculum).

This new evidence-base is highly relevant to practicing healthcare providers. The Arizona Department of Health Services has teamed up with the Programs in Health Professions Education in the Department of Defense to design a transformative, impactful CME event. This event will be presented by industry-free Arizona pain and addiction experts, tailored specifically for Arizona primary care experts.

Please note:

  • This is not a typical CME conference.
  • This is not an opioid conference.
  • This is not a lecture-heavy conference.
  • This is not a profit-driven conference.
  • This is a ground-breaking, multimedia, interactive event that is designed to change your practice.

Upon registration, you will be contacted by the Arizona Department of Health Services with more information, forms, and consents. Since longitudinal support and clinical resources will be made available only to attendees, there is a 200-person cap on attendance.

Due to limited resources on this first public health driven CME event, there are strict eligibility requirements:

  1. An Arizona-licensed physician (MD or DO)
  2. Currently practicing in outpatient primary care (family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine)
  3. Currently treating primary care patients with pain and/or addiction

Details of CME Event:

  • Free attendance
  • Meets the 3-hour CME opioid-related requirement
  • Free coffee, hot breakfast, hot lunch and snacks
  • Free parking
